Trees & flowers

Sri Lanka has over 3,000 native flowering plants, and about a quarter of them grow nowhere else. This section covers the island’s trees, flowers, orchids and ferns — from the Na tree and the blue water lily, our national symbols, to rainforest orchids and the highland rhododendron.
